For the first time in North America!
November 20 & 21, 2014
Following the release of the second edition of Analysis Techniques for Race Car Data Acquisition, Jorge Segers, has put together a new seminar covering the latest topics in data acquisition. Known as a world class presenter, Jorge was the youngest member of a FIA Championship team ever and is currently employed by Phoenix Racing GmbH and Director at JS Engineering.
The seminar will take place over 2 days in Manchester, NH. Convenient to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, the Best Western PLUS Executive Court Inn will serve as the host hotel and seminar rooms. Discounts for participants have been arranged and details are listed below. There will also be a free copy of the second edition of Analysis Techniques for Race Car Data Acquisition given to each participant
With the recent advancements in technology, club racers now have access to the same tools that were previously only available to the top professional teams. This seminar will teach the participants how to take their data and turn it into knowledge, plans for improvement, and a key advantage over their competitors. The seminar will begin with and introduction to data acquisition and measurement technology. Following this, you will learn how to analyze the driver and how to use this analysis to improve the drivers performance. The next section of the seminar will cover vehicle performance with an emphasis on vehicle balance, stability, wheel loads, weight transfer, aerodynamics, and shock absorbers. The latest in IR temps sensors for brake and tire temperatures will be covered in detail - something that has not been covered or available anywhere else.
The topics presented are appropriate for drivers, engineers, crew chiefs, mechanics, or students. While covering a wide variety of topics, the information will be presented in a way that is accessible to everyone, whether a trained engineer or a dedicated amateur. Emphasis will be placed on real world examples and how to transfer the knowledge of the seminar to your own situations.
The seminar is also not specific to one data system. While math channels are used throughout the seminar, their use will be made as easy as possible. All attendees will be provided a list of the math channels and syntaxes for most of the available data systems. Armed with this info, you will be able to quickly take your new knowledge and apply it at the track right away.
More info on the exact topics presented is available here.
Registration fees are $1,250 payable through check or credit card. The registration fees include breakfast snacks, lunch, and afternoon refreshments during the seminar. Contact [email protected] for more details. A deposit of $250 is required to confirm your place in the seminar.
Room reservations can be made by calling 603-627-2525. By using the TrailBrake group name, you will be entitled to the $89.99 room rate and complimentary airport shuttle. Additional details on the host hotel are available here.
